One of the best secrets in a girl’s everyday life is her morning routine. Each and every ones of us has a different kind of way in which we like to take care of ourselves in the morning.
Even though morning routines can be so different there can also be many similarities. Here are all the steps I take for my everyday morning routine.
Step one – Waking up
I usually wake up pretty early in the morning. I like to know that I have the entire day ahead of me and I can get everything done in time. The first thing I do when I open my eyes is to check my phone and I’m pretty sure that’s what most of us do!
After I have caught up with all my emails, texts and news, I get up, change clothes and make my bed.
Step two – Bathroom
After I’m done with making my bed, I proceed to go to the bathroom. I really like to pamper my skin when I wake up in the morning and another reason why I love waking up early is because I have enough time to apply makeup.
So, I start off my washing my face with my Frezyderm skin cleanser and after that I scrub away all the dirt and oils with my Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains for Face. After these two steps, I apply a toner and then one of the best face creams I have every tried; the Seaweed oil-control gel cream from The Body Shop.
Then, I proceed with doing my everyday natural makeup look which consists of my Too Faced Born this Way foundation, little bit of mineral powder, blush and a few finishing touches of brow gel, highlighter and my Better Than Sex mascara.
Step Three – Picking my Outfit
A very important part of my morning routine is picking the right outfit for the day. I always base what I wear on my mood and how I want to feel that day. An outfit can truly help elevate your mood so I always try to make the most of that!
Step Four – Breakfast
Probably the last step on my morning routine is my breakfast. I like to leave that for last so I can have enough time to eat slowly and enjoy it. Most days, I like to eat overnight oats or a chia pudding that I have prepared from the night before, as well as a hot cup of coffee. Then and only then am I actually ready to start off my day!

Each person might follow their own routine, but one thing is for certain; as long as it works for you, you should definitely keep doing it. Having a morning routine and sticking to it can really help you start your day feeling a lot happier and more energized and I really suggest that you take some time and organize a plan of how you’d like your day to begin.
